The newest Star Wars film has brought the galaxy’s most famous characters to life and brought Star Wars fans into a whole new galaxy, but one of the characters has been absent from the film.

While Ben Mendelsohn is the first to admit that the first-ever appearance of Finn in a Disney-produced movie has been a “dream come true” for him, the character has been conspicuously absent from all subsequent releases.

Mendelofs absence was confirmed by Disney’s Ben Mendelson during a Q&A on Twitter, which has since been deleted.

When the director spoke about the role of the new villain, Kylo Ren, he said that “there’s a lot of work that’s going on behind the scenes to try to make sure we don’t lose Finn.”

But when Mendel of course said that he was “blown away” by the “greatest fan-favorite Star Wars character ever,” it seems that there’s something else to be done.

“I think this is a great moment for Star Wars,” Mendel told EW in a statement.

“It’s a perfect moment to get back to the core of the franchise and to be really bold and creative with what we’ve got to do next.”

The latest installment of the Star Wars saga will take place 20 years after the events of the first film.

In that time, the Resistance has taken over the galaxy, and there are a number of new characters, including the infamous “Jedi” Kylo.

“A lot of fans are excited about what this film can do for the franchise,” Mendelson continued.

“We’re going to be making a big effort to bring back characters from the franchise, but the one thing that has kept me up at night is the great fan base that has been created and will continue to grow.”

So when the sequel to the Star War saga hits theaters on December 15, it will feature the return of Finn, a character who fans have long dreamed about seeing in a Star Wars movie for decades.

What do you think about the omission of Finn?

Is this the first time the character hasn’t appeared in a new Disney-directed film?
