The NHL trade deadlines are upon us, and the NHL teams and teams will be sending some of their prized assets to the league for players and/or draft picks.

Here are the big moves coming up this week:The Columbus Blue Jackets and the Carolina Hurricanes are both in need of forwards, and they’ve been looking for some depth with a young core of forwards.

With a trade deadline approaching, the Jackets and Hurricanes have agreed to terms on a three-year deal worth $2.6 million per season, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

The deal will also include a $1.9 million buyout.

The Hurricanes have a top-four center in Andrej Sekera and a top three center in Ryan Murray and Alexander Semin.

The Jackets have a pair of forwards in Cody McCormick and Jack Johnson in return.

Columbus and Chicago both have deals that could be worth a bit more than they’re asking for.

The Chicago Blackhawks are in need a top six forward and have been shopping, and are in the market for a defenseman.

The Columbus Blue Jacket are looking for a center in return for winger Adam McQuaid.

The Blackhawks will likely have to give up two draft picks to acquire McQuab.

The Winnipeg Jets are looking to add a left wing, but are looking into trades for two other forwards, as well as two defenseman.

With the deadline looming, the Jets are reportedly looking to move forward with a pair, but will be looking for forwards and/and a defenseman to help the team.

The Detroit Red Wings are looking at the possibility of trading defenseman Justin Abdelkader to the Calgary Flames for defenseman Matt Fraser.

The Red Wings could also consider moving forward with Fraser, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.

The Columbus Blues have been in talks with defenseman Adam Clendening.

They’ve been in contact with the Dallas Stars, who are looking toward a trade for defenseman Andrej Meszaros.

The New Jersey Devils have a number of deals in place for forwards, but have yet to agree on a deal.

The New York Islanders are looking ahead to the trade deadline, and could be interested in acquiring a defenseman, a forward, or a goalie.

The Edmonton Oilers have a deal in place to send winger Michael Del Zotto to the Minnesota Wild for defenseman Niklas Backstrom, who will be a restricted free agent at season’s end.

The Wild have no intention of trading Backstrom.

The Ottawa Senators are looking forward to the upcoming trade deadline and could add a forward to their roster.

The Senators would likely be looking to trade forward Ryan Miller, who is an unrestricted free agent after this season.

The Florida Panthers have a trade on the table, according the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Panthers would like to acquire defenseman Andrei Vasilevskiy from the Nashville Predators for forward Evgeny Svechnikov.

Svechnicov was traded to the Predators by the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 3.

The trade was announced at the deadline.

The Buffalo Sabres are looking up the possibility for acquiring a forward from the Detroit Red Wing, according an NHL source.

The Sabres are in talks to acquire a defenseman from the Buffalo Sabres.

The team will reportedly be shopping defenseman Matt Bartkowski.

The Nashville Predators are in desperate need of a center and could use a winger to add depth to their lineup.

The Predators have a slew of forwards and need a forward.

The organization would like for a player to come to Nashville.

The Calgary Flames have a trio of deals that will likely bring in a defenseman and a forward this week, according a league source.

The Los Angeles Kings are in search of a forward and are working on a trade.

The Kings have two forwards in Filip Forsberg and Jordan Eberle.

The Philadelphia Flyers are looking in on acquiring a center.

The Flyers are in an auction to acquire forward Ryan White from the Toronto Maple Leafs, who would be a free agent.

The Vancouver Canucks are looking beyond the deadline and would like a defenseman in return, according league sources.

The Arizona Coyotes are in negotiations to acquire center Ryan Johansen.

Johansen is a restricted Free Agent after this year, and is expected to test the market.

The Coyotes are looking outside the league to acquire players and prospects, according’s Eric Stephens.

The Minnesota Wild are in a race for a goaltender with goaltender Devan Dubnyk and defenseman Andrew Agojar, according Sportsnet’s Craig Custance.

The Toronto Maple Leaf will be shopping goaltender Ryan Miller this week.

Miller is a former No. 3 overall pick and was selected by the Maple Leafs in the 2009 NHL Draft with the 20th overall pick.

The Dallas Stars will be searching for a left winger and defenseman this week according to league sources, as they have a defenseman on the move in forward Ryan Garbutt.

The Stars are also in talks for forward Alexander Radulov.
